Spent Sunday watching the marathon and wishing I was there. I love watching the marathon and always end up crying at some point. Sadly I didn't see anyone I knew on the telly.

Had my appointment with the consultant on Monday and asked him whether I would even beable to walk the marathon next year. He said that not to rule it out but to remember that walking is an impact exercise and to see how I go. Bearing in mind that at the moment I can walk for 30 - 40 minutes. I'm not allowed to go swimming or on the bike outside yet, although up to 15 minutes on the exercise bike. In a months time I can start to jog on the spot on the soft floor at the hospital gym and then 6 weeks after that on the treadmill.

I really don't want to walk it on my own so hubbie Jim said he will do it with me. We did discuss getting him a charity place and raising money for the Children's Liver Disease Foundation but I think that will put too much pressure on me to be fit. Instead he is taking his luck with a ballot.

So the plan is to continue to go to the gym 3 times a week to build up my cardio and leg strength and on all the other days do the exercises the physio has given me to do.

Jim is entering the ballot. if he gets a place and I am well enough then we will do it together. If he doesn't get a ballot place and I am well enough then either find a walking partner or perhaps consider doing it alone or not doing it together

So Team Bamford may be resurrected. What will be will be!
