Distances getting (very) serious now!

Jan2720129:46 p.m.

My long run is going to be 18-20km this weekend - blimey, blimey. That distance sounds a bit scary to a novice. Although it's even more scary to think that that's not even half a marathon.

I have had a rotten cold this week and had to take some time off work and off running. I had a little wobble about missing runs and not being ready for the big day, but have now (just about) convinced myself that missing 2 runs with 12 weeks to go isn't a disaster. I've just got to get back on it and not worry. Or get ill again preferably ;-)

Happy weekend running folks,

Cx

  • Avs123 'Don't worry just yet about missing runs, I was looking at my book from 2010 when I last ran, it has sections to make comments in, and for this week 2 years ago I missed a 3mile run and my long 8miler :S I also missed my longest run later on which was supposed to be 18miles, so my longest run was 16 in the end. And I still finished :D Hope you're feeling well soon, dont push it too much when unwell. xx' added 28th Jan 2012
