I am almost certain I will come in last but who cares, the fact that I did it will be enough for me.

  • TISM 'Brilliant move, Tel!! A big step forward, and sure to be fun, however you do. Guaranteed PB! Don't worry about coming in with no one behind you, I regard it as a noble service to all other runners who might be more worried about being 'last' than I am ever am....lol Have a great weekend....' added 20th Sep 2008

  • emmteeyess 'Excellent move. Go out and really enjoy it - as TISM says guarenteed PB! and don't believe you'll be last (or if you are - at least you'll get the biggest cheer!!) Cheers, MTS' added 21st Sep 2008

  • SuperCaz 'I've been last lots of times. Doesn't matter and you do get the biggest cheer! Some races even had prizes for the last runner so I hear, not that I have ever got anything mind.' added 21st Sep 2008

  • kizzi10000 'go for it! I have registered but not run yet. Not one near me, so I'm waiting until I'm at mums to do the Basingstoke one. Haven't got a recent 5k time. Nothing wrong with being last - I was quite miffed when I found out I wasn't at my first ever race (someone came in 15mins after me).' added 21st Sep 2008

  • Muffs 'It takes guts to be at that start line. There are so many others that just don't bother. Well done. It doesn't matter wether you come first or last the great thing i've found about running is everyone is there to support each other. Good luck mate i'll be routing for you. I'm sure you wont be last anyway.' added 22nd Sep 2008

Matt, have you ever thought of training for the Badwater, it would take some years and some impresive stats but hey, wat is life for if not to dream ;o) http://www.badwater.com/reg.html Tel' added 22nd Sep 2008
