Change of venue
Jun18201011:20 a.m.
It has been lovely and hot down here so not surprisingly the playing fields are full of children playing (just as it should be) so as I am still VERY self conscious (even tho' I know they would take no notice of me what so ever) I have decided to use the lane at the back of our house instead - also this is flat and nicely tarmac'd, so I did a few lengths last night.
'The Bloke' will be getting up early tomorrow to go fishing, so I will try and get up with him and do a few lengths up and down the lane before starting on the house work and the weekly supermarket shop.
Food wise I don't think I've done too badly, salady mostly, although 'The Bloke' made some rather nice spinach & feta patties which I had for supper earlier in the week, last night he made a lovely prawn & squid stir fry, tonight will be chilli whilst watching the footie (him not me). Sadly I can't say I have been very good with the white wine, to quote Oscar Wilde, I can resist everything but temptation, the down side of having a licensed shop at the end of our lane is that it is too accessible.
Looks like Sunday will be a day on the water

Day one
OK so now I've committed this for all the world to see I had better carry it out. I haven't done any form of serious fitness for far too long, we used to live...

emmteeyess 'More years ago than I care to remember, I started jogging round a playing field. 1 lap jog, (till I thought my eyeballs were bursting out), and 1 lap walk (till I thought they weren't!) I ended up loving it and joined a running club, ran marathons and other races. My body protests a bit more nowadays so I'm just glad to be running. My point is - STICK WITH IT! You'll get over that initial feeling of it being too hard, or it's too hot, or it's raining, and you'll begin to find it easier. That's when you can go to the offie with a clear conscience. Good luck! Cheers, MTS' added 20th Jun 2010
