Sweating decent red!

Feb1820117:21 p.m.

Had a great day in London yesterday; always nice to go, and enjoy the hustle and bustle.  Always nice to get home as well - the green green grass of the 'shire is always that bit greener when you've been away from it.

I was presenting to a group of solicitors - an intro to accounting and auditing.  Really pleased with how it went - I hope they were as well; they asked me to the pub afterwards, and I took that as a good sign.  Stayed the night with old friends, Pat and Clare.  Great to see them, so great that suddenly I'd had a few beers, and we had shared 3 bottles of nice rioja.  How do these things just seem to happen?..!

So, it didn't feel like I had been in bed long before it was time to get up and have a meetin at Chartered Accountants' Hall - my first time at HQ.  A lovely building, made nicer by the work that I left with.

Anyway, home at last, and time to get the running gear on for a 45 min recovery run.  It was lovely to be out- there was a bit of a breeze, but nothing that was holding me up.  I think that I was sweating pure red wine, and I am sure the extra carbs helped keep the times keen.  I ended up with a decent circuit of the village, 5 miles at 8.35 or so pace.  Pleased with that as a recovery run - hopefully I didn't take too much out of the tank, as I have another 45 min session tomorrow morning, culminating with a 15 min straight off threshold run.  Oh joy!

At least I've got a quiet night tonight - not!  The Coopers and the Parkers are coming round for a curry.  Promises to be anything but quiet if it's the same as normal!

Cheers all
