First race of year ahead

Hello All,
Another week nearly over and its been a good week with a good gym day(strength & stretching) on monday followed with a speedwork session on tuesday evening which comprised of a 2 mile warm up followed by 5 x 800 with 400 recovery then 5 x 400 with 200 recovery worked on keeping my splits even ( 800's were 2:52,2:53,2:51,2:51,2:51 and 400's were 1:25,1:24,1:23,1:22,1:17) so really happy with them, Wednesday was a 3 mile recovery run easy pace, then thursdays session was a 2 mile warm up followed by 5.2 mile tempo run (35.29) then 1 mile warm down and stretching, friday was a 4.5 mile recovery run after work. Rest day tomorrow with first race of year on sunday, A local cross country race so time to see what sort of shape im in sound we say
