Thursday is the new Wednesday

One run to report since the last update, on Tuesday, and it wasn't a stunner. Hadn't slept well the night before or eaten enough during the day, so only made it about 2 and a half miles before pains - probably caused by a lazy running style - stopped me. Did have a 45 minute cycle tonight though which is something I suppose.
Looking back over my runs so far I've apparently done about 46 miles since I started going regularly, almost exactly 2 months ago. Which isn't bad going, considering it certainly isn't top of my list of priorities. I'm running approximately 6 miles a week by those figures, and would like to have that consistently up to 10 by the time the ballot results are announced.
On that note, have been contacted by a couple of the charities I'd like to run for in the marathon which, although I know it doesn't actually mean anything, is encouraging at least. Happy with where I am, having gone from able to run 2 miles to 5 miles in 8 weeks, without injury. W00t.

Mrs_Old_Bird 'Well done on the run & the bike ride, Harry, any exercise is better than none! You're doing the right thing by building up your mileage and stamina gradually. If you are offered a chartiy place, grab it with both hands as you can always tell them if you get in through the ballot, and they can give your place to another hopeful.
