Never had it, could never find it inside me...

...but might have put my finger on it...
As you can see I've been doing a bit of song-writing with the Hedge and Bona but I've also hit the road again with new vigour. I've started to believe more in myself which comes from the last mile of the GMR and the people round me including

Forgive me St Kim of Marathon, I haven’t written something for a while. I’ve almost recovered from the op, I’ve been made redundant but have some temporary work that suits me for the moment and I’ve started coaching my neighbour to run a mile.
He sits most days trading from home on the Stock Market and was very unfit although he did 5-a-side every week. The first run, he could just about run 100m but we had to have five minutes rest. Over the past thirteen days we’ve ran about nine times and today he’s run two miles without stopping. The target is a ParkRun in October.
Me, I’ve started using my bike again. After crashing a couple of years ago I got back on it and was okay but found that running was my main thing. I’m doing the Manchester 100 on 4 September so I’m trying to get out and about on it as much as possible with two training rides on the £16 Raleigh for 10 miles each. I’m hoping to up this to 20+ miles this weekend and then move up as much as is possible.
Running is still there apart from the PT. A few runs around Turn Moss and the Mersey which are getting longer and easier as well as pain free with targets of GNR (free place but don’t tell anyone) and Robin Hood Half in September. The best thing is they are both familiar and I know what needs to be done.
Crazy? Yes, but unless I put pressure on myself I don’t achieve so I will believe in myself and do it.

kraftykat 'Good to see you blogging Jamie. Well done with coaching your neighbour, I'm sure he's really pleased that he can now run a couple of miles. And it's great that you are able to help him too - just don't run off and dash to the finish line without him!!! ha ha...... Good luck with the training for Manchester 100 and your 20 miler this weekend.' added 17th Jul 2011
