Non stop training!

Aug1920105:39 p.m.

Well, we think our Marathons are the end of heavy training, but I have booked a few 10k's this year, not normally my distance but I wanted to see if I could speed things up a bit as with some of the distance runs you end up plodding!

Did JT 10k, next up is Middlesbrough 10k 5th Sept, says it is a flat course, so as I was working on my distance after a 2 week break in June which left me with jelly legs when I did a simple 4m run I have now been working on speed, not easy for a plodder! Each time over the last few years I have increased the distance or speed I get a sore Rt hip - I am guessing it's an age thing! However it is back. I have still managed to get my speed bits in but I have had to have some Brufen after which has worked well! We are away next week so it will give me a bit of a recovery break but I am hoping to do a long run before and on return so fingers crossed will be a good thing as opposed to bad!

Yorkshire Coast 10k next on the agenda, then Thirsk 10m so we shall see if I can break my 10k and 10m time this year - would be nice - then we start to look at next years races- no rest for the wicked!
