Back to winter

Apr0220127:39 p.m.

Well it certainly feels like it and the run on Saturday was back to the jacket. Saturday's run was 3.5 miles of hills and off roading. So it was quite slow even for us. We went onto the Guild Wheel in the woods at the back of the house, out onto Fernyhalgh Lane and then past David Moyes house, round Cow Hill, through a field out by the Spar distribution centre and back onto the Guild wheel and home.

Sunday we went and helped with the Three Bridges 10k in Lancaster. It gets it's name because it covers three bridges in Lancaster. Everybody seemed to enjoy it and one runner actually found the organiser and said thank you for a well organised and marshalled race. Smile We also got some bad news that I can't go into but my mind is working over time on how to help him out.

Tomorrow I'm off for a leg massage and then I'll be doing the Caldervale 3.8 mile fun run on Friday and trust me it's not fun!!

Off for a catch up!!

  • HellenH 'Races always need marshalls Judith and its nice when they are appreciated! I always try and thank people at the end (if I'm not too pooped!) Jealous of the leg massage - must book one soon! And good luck on your "fun" run Friday! :)' added 2nd Apr 2012

  • Dungey 'Do always make a point of thanking the marshall as I go around the race, really lifts it when they are clapping and shouting encouragement.' added 2nd Apr 2012

  • Johnf 'Repeat the guys above, marshalls do a great job, much harder than running. Of course the race is fun, perhaps tough but I bet you still enjoy it.' added 3rd Apr 2012
