Finally managed to get out for a run today and it was good to get a few more miles in the legs even if they weren't at any great pace. It went without incident which is always good, just me in my little running world with the gps lady updating me every mile and Jay-Z providing the music. Seems everything's still in good working order after a few run-less weeks, the damaged toes not giving more than the occasional ache and the legs feeling good throughout and after the run.
Hence I'm feeling pretty positive tonight, need to work on picking up the pace a little but I also need to pick up the distances too, it'd be nice to get to 8mph on the shorter runs - need to look up the minute/mile on that one, must get better at learning pace times!! - I'm also wary that I need to improve the regularity of my runs too so I guess I need to sit down with the diary and work out when's good.
Still plenty of training time left though and you know what they say - it's a marathon not a sprint!!
