"No turning back". Last run of any note today, a 4.5 miler which wasn't great. Probably all in my mind but I ached everywhere.

This week i had planned to eat what the experts recommend but failed mostly. But I have temporarily given up  my addiction to Haribo tangfastic sweets and my over consumption of diet coke.

Day off work today to pack, sort out a few Euros and buy a running belt and some gels. Tried the belt for a 10 minute jog tonight and it felt surprisingly ok. Still undecided about it though, as I am about which socks.

Missus is a bit gutted she can't make the trip due to a good friend's hen night on Saturday. Mind you, I'll probably speak to her more over the weekend when I'm away than I did in the whole of March, due to work. Thanks again luv.

The cat was a looking concerned this evening when I got out my large canvas travel bag and put it on the bed. Then he was all over me,  getting in the way as i tried to pack and rolling about on my clean gear. I'm not sure if he was trying to wish me luck or being a creep, because he thought my travel  bag signalled a trip to the prison, (cattery).

Best wishes to anyone also running in Paris or anyone racing elsewhere this weekend.

Im on the Eurostar in about 8 hrs, best I get some sleep.
See you on the other side.
