FLM 2009 - Runner 30152!!!
Jul2520088 a.m.
Got my runners number for the 2009 London Marathon as part of the Good for Age scheme. Dead pleased to know that I will be participating again.
My goal is to break the 3 hours, which as long as I am injury free is achievable.
Have my 16 Week Training plan sorted and am currently just building base at the moment with 3 'Easy' Runs, 1 Long Slow, and 2 Quality sessions a week.
Have not done much running in the last week, came down with a nasty virus / summer cold thing last Friday, felt really grotty over the weekend. Dosed up and am now coming through the worst of it. Did do a 45 minute run on Wednesday but felt absolutely awful.
I can't remember the last time I had a cold, certainly a good few years ago but it is a rotten feeling. Meant I missed last Sundays 10K.
Garmin 405 has been returned, not the original but a complete replacement - hooray!!
Books have not turned up yet. Keen to get them by at least today as I am off on holiday this evening and was keen to take the reads with me.
I intend to do some running whilst on holiday, and now that I have the Garmin back hopefully I will not get lost
