Touch Wood things are going well.
Up early on Saturday morning took the wife to the Airport she was heading of to Amsterdam Ah well she made me loads of Pasta for my evening meal will not go hungry,so up early next morning for a 10 mile run only the second time in over 20 years since i ran over 10 miles the last being GNR 2009 in a time of 2hrs 13 mns,was well pleased with my efforts with a time of 1hr 32 mins.
Monday night went out for gentle jog no watch and no mileage around 3 1/2 miles.
Wednesday night up the mileage to 6.1 miles in a time of 57 mins always seem to struggle midweek must be working to hard in work going home with no energy.
Friday afternoon went for a 4 .1 mile run before going out for my work Christmas dinner another good time of 34.41.

Torres or Torrans for the VLM 2010
Have not been on here since Wed 25thNov and alot has happen since,first of all spent all day Friday delivering yellow pages approx 1400 books from 8.30am until 8.00pm have to say good weight training unplanned,up early next morning starting at 6.00am delivering another 500 books,home at 11.30 wash and change and off to a place called The Browntrout up in the North Coast of Northern Ireland with my wife and two Collie dogs to celebrate our wedding aniversary for two nights.Before we left i weighed myself as I do every Saturday and Iam down to 13.3 total of ten pounds lost in 5weeks well please,which meant a chance to let the hair down, chinese food on Sat night couple of cider and red wine,up early next mornng had a eight mile run in different surroundings just a gentle run,afterwards full breakfast in thehotel and then a nice stroll down the beach with the two dogs very cold but lovely crisp morning,back to the hotel and spent the rest of the day watching the two matches on Super Sunday nice to see my team back on the winning trail,oh and i forgot had a number of pints of Carlsberg well first in 5 weeks.manage to keep myself right for a nice meal that night in the hotel and with another full breakfast (Ulster Fry)the next morning thats was me back to good habits again from when i get home.
Tuesday run 4miles in 38 mins gentle run again route 6.Up early next morning for a 45 min swim before work always feel better after completion hardest part is getting there.
Thursday night ran my best run yet for 6 miles doing it in 54 mins was really pleased with my time and feel the training the all the hard work is starting to pay dividends,looking forward tomy Sunday run hoping to do 10 miles.

Midweek Activitys
Tuesday night had a gentle 4 mile run,38 mins hamstring on both legs a bit tight need to keep an eye on that,Up early next morning down to the local swimming pool done 50 lengths before going to work.
Wednesday night went out for another 4 mile run only this time done my first time training were i push myself for a mile as quick as i could go took 8 mins well at least its a start, and finish of with a gentle jog to home.
Will be back out on friday night this week,its the start of going out 4 days a week until the end of December were the serious training begins earnest in the New Year.

Torres or Torrans for the VLM2010
After another quite Saturday night in X-Factor with no beer pasta loaded for The Sunday long run.Whilst it was dry on Sunday morning there was a stiff breeze blowing but apart from all that I had a very enjoyable run 8.5 miles in 1 hour an 19mins 52secs,hadnt set out to run quicker but hopefully alot to do with losing 1/2 stone in the last couple of weeks.Just on that weight loss in the first couple of weeks of training I have had a Hip Problem never affected my run but niggling before and after and now I have noticed that the pain has settled down in the last week or so.

After Tuesday run got up early next morning went for a 40min swim something I am going to try and do each week to build up the fitness,as a gentleman said to his friend well thats the hardest bit over what he meant by that was just getting here and that will stick with me throughout my training.
Thursday night went out for a 5mile run went well was able to get out in between showers,had a quite Friday and got up early this morning for another swim, next thing ill be cycling and then before you no it a triathlon lol. Route 15 49mins 25secs.
