Half marathon training update,
Sep20201010:11 p.m.
After giving my joints a rest, doing a few short gentle runs it is apparent that my knee in particular, is in no fit state for the rigours of a half marathon. I'm very disappointed to say the least that I'll not be entering, but I shall take it easy now and let my old joints time to recover. I have suffered from the 'terrible toos'...I did too much, too soon and too fast!
I'm gutted actually, I went from just running around the block to doing 7.5 miles in a month...a great achievement I think but I have paid the price. I've got the running bug now so I've just got to be patient, let my sore bits recover then prepare better for the next run. I shall definitely be running a half marathon....and soon I hope!!
