Week of March 29
This was my last high volume/high intensity week before the marathon. This week I will drop mileage and intensity a bit, then the final two weeks I will rest up considerably.

Monday: 5 miles AM easy, 10 miles PM easy
Tuesday: 5 miles AM easy, 10 miles PM easy
Wednesday: 15 miles, with 6 x 1200m at 5k pace, 2 min rest. My legs were burning on these. I ran them on the esplanade path and so times were not totally accurate, but I was right around 5:20-5:30 pace.
Thursday: 12 miles PM.
Friday: 16 miles PM at around 6:15 pace. Concentrated on form, staying relaxed. Did singles these past three days because of work obligations.
Saturday: 7 miles AM, 5 miles PM
Sunday: 25 miles, 2:54. I wanted to experience being on my legs for >2:30, without trashing my quads.
Looking forward to a fun week in Chicago.
