Experimenting

I shall be using tomorrow's 20 mile jaunt to test out some of these babies....

I shall either run like the wind or shit myself. Only time will tell I guess.

Wish me luck amigos!

  • Keith_L 'If you take all that stuff on teh same run how on earth are you gonna work out which stuff works? Think most of this stuff doesnt do you much good. I would however go with firefly and the SIS One gels' added 13th Mar 2010

  • STUBLACK 'Good luck with the 20 miler, I'm sure you don't need remindint that plain old water is just as important as the other stuff. Hope it goes well' added 13th Mar 2010

  • IMMOVABLE_OBJECT 'I have Torq gels although I get in a real sticky mess. Perhaps you need to start with one sort and see how you get on. If you try various things and one does not agree with you, it may be difficult to work out the bad penny.' added 13th Mar 2010

  • smull 'Guys, I was never gonna take all this lol I had the target power shot drink an hour before I ran along with the Power bar. I then had a Lucozade gel at 13 miles with water followed by a Power Bar gel at 16 miles again with water. I prefered the power bar gel. Far easier to take in. Anyways it worked. I ran a pb of 3hrs 40mins over the 20 miles. It's a very hilly course too and today there was serious headwind so I'm well chuffed. I ran 19 miles in exactly the same time 2 weeks ago and found it very hard. For the first time since training started I believe I can run this marathon non stop. A happy, but achey, Smull' added 14th Mar 2010
