Good News by thorneyboy

Well the news is in.  After 3 long years I have finally been given a place in the Virgin London Marathon in 2010.  I have run in events before but nothing as big as this and to be honest I feel a little nervous.  Not because of the famous nature of the race but because it is the first marathon I would have ever run........EVER.  Now I would consider myself physically and mentally fit but until I am standing in the crowd on the starting line then the nerves will always be a factor. 

However I am not going to let this stand in the way of my training which began almost 2 months ago.  So far it is going well and the miles are steadily increasing.  I hope to achieve a commendable time but my main goal is just to complete the event.....period.

I am sure it will be alright on the night but I will keep everyone posted as to my training. 

To everyone running next year I wish you good luck and to those who have done it before and have any advice for me......pleeeeeeeaaasssseeeee help lol
