    May0220122:35 p.m.

Since the marathon I have eaten pizzas and pork and pickle pies and had one or two full-englishs at work. I've had a chinese meal for two for one. I've enjoyed chish and fips and been to the pub to watch football and sunk a couple of lagers. I've had a bottle of champers and one or two (the exact amount is neither one nor two) bottles of wine and last night I drank the can of London Pride I got in my goody bag from the Expo. I've smoked a few cigarettes too which I'm quite ashamed about but I knew was always likely to happen.

Anyway, that's the end of that little blow out.

It'd be pretty pathetic if I piled the two stone I lost during training straight back on  and became dangerously unhealthy again.

I did enter the ballot for next year and would love to get in. I don't imagine I will though and am looking for something else to sign up for soon. I'm thinking of the Ealing half as it's a bit of an old stomping ground of mine.

More importantly though... this morning I donned the lycra once more and went for a little run.

    I can still do it.

    Sort of.

Five easy miles. Two short walks. Why not? Who's watching? It's just for fun.

I'll run again this week, come up with some sort of plan, possibly rename this blog and let you know.

If anyone's still out there that is.

I like beer and larger, but i dont like that lol. On the alcohol side of things, i had a bottle of wine thats been staring at me since xmas. Was meant to go out tonight and have early birthday drinks but it got cancelled. I even got my hair done in a salon for first time ever! Hoping the weekend brings another chance to down some alcohol. :-( Think i deserve to celebrate my birthday, it is afterall exactly 2 weeks after marathon. ' added 2nd May 2012

I'm making up for lost time after being ill the week after the marathon!! I still haven't been out for a run since the marathon (infact I haven;t done any exercise), so well done on getting out for a 5 miler!! I necked my freebie London Pride on Sunday . . . mmmm, lovely!!!' added 3rd May 2012

    • Dave_Morgan98 'reenee, feeling much better now thanks, although I have developed a rather annoying pain under my foot which might delay me getting back to running. Hopefully it's just a minor niggle and will be gone by the weekend.' added 3rd May 2012

    • reenee_62 'I see, hope you get back out there soon, miss your posts! I still get random hip niggles but it is much improved since marathon, still waiting on specialist appointment. No pains during runs so i'm happy. I bet your kids are happy to have you to themselves for a while without training.' added 3rd May 2012

    • sallydeamer 'heys guys I have done 2 runs since the marathon plus a couple of gym sessions saturday 6 miles and tuesday 5 miles i just so missed my affair with my trainers!!! meant to go out to night but had parents evening for my daughter year 10 pre GCSE year. need I say glowing results and a fantastic student - unlike her mother at school ( but do not tell her that) knees feel a little doggy but determined not to loose the fitness leve; but at the end of the day we have to consider what our bodies have been through' added 3rd May 2012
