Join the RedR Virgin London Marathon Team in 2010!

It’s a challenge. You might even get a blister. But running the Virgin London Marathon is one of the most rewarding and exhilarating things you will ever do. And if you run for RedR, every step you take will help us rebuild the lives of millions of people affected by natural disaster and conflict each year.

There are two ways to join the RedR team:

1. Run with own place secured through the official ballot. There is no set fundraising target for own place runners, and we’ll still provide all the help, support and training advice that you need. Contact Marta directly if you have registered in the ballot and would like to run for RedR.

2. Apply for one of RedR’s guaranteed Golden Bond places. We ask that you raise a minimum of £1850 as a RedR Golden Bond runner. To register your interest, please contact Marta directly.

Whether you are running on a Golden Bond or Ballot Place, your support will help us provide aid workers with the skills they need to efficiently deliver vital humanitarian relief.

How will the money you raise help RedR?

RedR trains relief workers in the UK and around the world improving emergency response and providing essential assistance to people in times of disaster. With your help RedR can continue building skills and training people in countries where disasters occur, to make a lasting impact on the ground.

As part of the RedR team you will receive:

Before the start line

  • A fundraising and sponsorship pack
  • Direct telephone and email support
  • Training, nutrition and kit advice
  • A RedR running vest and t-shirt

During the run

  • A dedicated cheering squad armed with balloons, flags and jelly babies!

After 26.2 miles

  • Post race reception, refreshments, shower and a massage.

“The RedR team were brilliant on the day. They cheered us on from the sidelines but their calming influence in Greenwich Park whilst I was getting pre-race butterflies will never be forgotten - Thank you... “
Bash Maji, Freelance Cameraman and RedR runner in 2009
