Beginner, intermediate or advanced? – Know your level
Read the statements below and decide which one best applies to your current level of
fitness – then follow the appropriate training plan each week.
Beginner
You have not exercised for some time or you are completely new to running. Or you have completed shorter distance races, for example a 5k or possibly a 10k and you are looking for the next challenge. View the Beginner Marathon Training Plan.
Intermediate
You are already a runner or you have been running for a minimum of several months and have completed races such as a 10k or half marathon event. Or you have already completed a marathon and are looking to improve your time. View the Intermediate Marathon Training Plan.
You are a regular runner and have been running for a year or more and your weekly long run is currently around 15 miles. Or you have already completed a marathon event and are looking to improve your time. View the Advanced Marathon Training Plan.
