Anyone know what the split times mean in the Half?

I thought they may represent the halfway point to the finish, but that's not right. Maybe it's the lag time between the gun and when you crossed thestart line? Anyone know what the split times mean?

It seems like it may be 2/3rds of the way?!? I"m not really sure but trying to guess. I can't figure it out, but from what I remember where I was and my time, it seems to make the most sense.

Did you happen to look up at the clock when crossing the finish line? Is your final posted time the same as the overhead clock?
I know I started way back in the 9 minute corral so I figured my "net" time is actually better.

My final time is posted correctly. I finished in 2:10, but the clock was 2:13 - It took 3 minutes for me to cross the start line...

It is the time from the gun to when you crosed the start line.

I doubt it took anyone over an hour to get to the start line. :) The split was measured (for some very unknown reason) as you entered the park. If you think back, you will remember stepping on a mat as you were approaching mile nine. I think you can do the math from there an it is just about right. I'm guessing they put the mat there to make sure people ran the park, since it is the only place where you could manage to skip and not be noticed. It also why some people have no time posted as a split.

Surely then those who don't have split times should be disqualified as they must have skiped running through the park?

That makes sense. There was a mat at the entrance to the park and that matches pretty well to my split times. I totally forgot about the mat there.

I'm pretty sure they will be DQd. It's only a little over 24 hours since the end of the race. Give them time to get things sorted out. There's just no way to do it during the race.

The guy who finished 4th in the marathon im pretty turned around and only completed the half marathon course? I checked out his past results he usually completes a marathon in around 6.30,therefore i think it's unlikely he's suddenly going to improve to 2.53?
