I’d love to go on a proper Safari somewhere in Africa – has anyone been on one? I’ve seen one for Kruger National Park in South Africa which looks amazing!

No but it's something I've always wanted to do! I'd probably be unlucky and get eaten by a lion or something.
I want to go to the serengeti, there is the largest concentration of wild animals on earth here. Apparently everywhere you look there are huge herds of zebras, antelopes, buffalo and giraffes!
That sounds amazing - it'd be so surreal to see a place like that!

That sounds great - is it an uber expensive trip?

I would be far too scared to go on a Safari, give me a book and a sunbed any day! Sorry lions.

I think I'd be a bit scared too! Would feel much more at home (and less at risk of being eaten) on a sunbed on the beach!

I've had a dig round and found the photos of the one I went on, which I've uploaded a few for your perusal.

They look great Dave - the baby rhino looks well cute! How long did you go for? Did you get close to any Lions?

Went for three weeks in total; one week safari and two at shelly beach (Mombassa).
As for lions, these lads were a few yards from the roadside:

Wow these photos make me want to go on safari! My friend went on one and was just surrounded by baboons and hyenas though... not as keen.

I'd be scared of getting attacked, how safe is it to go on a safari?

That's amazing! I hope you were quiet, I would not want to wake a lion up from a nap...
That sounds like a fantastic holiday Dave! What did you get up to at Shelly Beach?

My friend went on one and the thing she had to watch out for the most was the baboons! They're ferocious! Baboons would literally rip your hand off for food....Eek!

I didn't think they were the friendliest of animals, but thought there would have been worse to look out for!

Yeah I wouldn't have thought they'd be the worst either... I'll make sure to remember that if I ever go on safari!
