Favourite place to travel Africa

What's your favourite place to travel to in all of Africa? I've never been anywhere in Africa- but would really like to have gone to a place on every continent!

Have never been to Africa, but really would love to experience a safari, maybe even a balloon safari. Alternatively a cruise up the Nile is definitely on my list of places to visit.

Never heard of a balloon safari- is it just like a regular safari but in a hot air balloon... is that a stupid quesiton...?  

They are supposed to be a really beautiful way to see the landscape and I think if you go in a small group they can be an awesome experience.

That sounds awesome! has anyone done a hot air balloon safari?

 Zanzibar is an amazing place. The spice farms are fascinating and the beaches superb. You can hire a bike and cycle all over the island - great fun!

Whatever you think of the politics Zimbabwe is a must. i went ten years ago and then again last year as i wanted to see what was happening with my own eyes. Totally shocking. 

I went last year (only to Vic Falls from Botswana) and there was absolutely no petrol anywhere. People we met said to make sure we filled up before we went and I'm very glad we did. Fascinating but really, really sad place.

 Just looked at some pics of Zanzibar- it looks beautiful! I'd never even heard of it before!

Never been to Africa either - I'd love to go to Morocco and Egypt as well as do a safari in the south. One day...

I have been trying to convine my partner to go to Egypt for years but he's just not interested. I think I'll have to do it alone or rope a friend in with me.

Yeah- it looks great! Would love to see all the pyramids and tombs!

Anywhere diving - I think it would be amazing and has some of the best dive spots in the world.

Would love to see Kenya. Stay with the Masai etc...

A balloon safari sounds ace! Never heard of that before.

Balloon safari. Although I know what you mean, it makes it sound like you're set on going spotting for different kinds of inflatables.
