What's yours? One of the fabled big 5 or another more humble member of the animal kingdom.

Mine is probably the elephant. For many reasons but mainly because of their intelligence. When in south africa my guide told me that they are the only land mammal (other than humans) who re-visit the grave sites of former prominent members of the herd.

Monkeys! Only little baby ones though, the big ones can look a bit gross.

They have to be everyone's favourites but out of the big 5 you'd have to say a big cat in the wild is one of the most amazing experiences to see.
Do or do not - there is no try!
What are the "big 5"? Never knew there was a big 5!

Yeah they are defined as the 5 hardest animals to hunt on foot in Africa. Not that you are allowed to hunt most of them now! Elephant, Rhino, Lion, Leopard and buffalo.
Well you learn something new every day - thanks! Out of them I reckon my favourite would be the lion. Or elephant. Although I feel a little bit sorry for the buffalo coz they're pretty ugly...

I'd go with elephants. Although I saw a video where a buffalo managed to escape from a lion on one side and a crocodile on the other - it was amazing, so maybe they should be my favourite now.
Aah yey good for the ugly buffalo!
They have gone up in my estimation

Yeah the have a bum rap. They are definitely the least mysterious of the big 5

Elephants - especially a baby and then maybe one of the big cats.

Lion - although I'm a big fans of the elephants as well.

Lions are amazing to look at but lazy as hell. Here is a picutre taken by Brett Aldridge my guide of some lionesses we saw in SA. Sums them up pretty well!

I think elephants are my fave, they always look quite chilled out and the babies are very cute.

Who chose the big 5? I'm another elephant fan - they're meant to be quite clever aren't they?

I think so, they're supposed to have good memories anyway! I do like elephants but I reckon leopards are probably the most impressive looking. Can't image anything wanting to mess with a leopard!
Haha - no me neither - although I wouldn't fancy messing with any of them really. Hippos are meant to be really aggressive aren't they? I always thought they seemed nice and relaxed (on TV)...
