Have always wanted to view the Great Wall but have been coming round to the idea of running it instead. Anyone experienced the Great Wall marathon before. What were conditions like?
If you can't run, cycle!
That would be such a great way to see the Great Wall!
Just had a look on the website and it looks like it'll be brutal! As amazing at it would be to do it, not sure I could run up and down 5164 steps!

Is that how many there are? That does add to the challenge!

5164 steps? Really? Think I would probably collapse halfway up them!

I'd be right there with you! Can you imagine doing all that in the heat too?!

I can't imagine running up and down that many steps even if I was in the Antarctic, but yeah the heat would definitely make it a lot worse!

I would imagine there wouldn't be a great deal of room for participants everyone would have to run in small groups.
Yeah, the path isn't that wide is it?
I think I would just want to stop every five minutes to take photos and take in the view - would not be getting the best time at all.
