One of my friends was at Sydney Harbour for New Year and she said it was amazing! Has anyone been there for it?

I have been and it was fantastic - they really know how to throw a party and celebrate in style.

Sad to say I have spent two New Year's in Australia and both were out of Sydney, one was in Queensland and one in Victoria. Oh well, I'll just to have to go back!

The harbour bridge display is something else, I saw in one New Year there, started with a champagne picnic in the Botanical Gardens and then off to the Rocks for midnight.
I'd love to go there for New Year - that would be amazing - and it'd be great to bring in the year somewhere nice and hot too!

Did it feel like Christmas out there - even though it was hot?

My friend spent Christmas in Australia and had a BBQ on the beach for their Christmas dinner! Sounds really fun but think I could only do it as a one off as it wouldn't feel like a proper Christmas for me!
Yeah - it'd be great to go there one year - I love warm weather. Although I think I'd miss the home coldness at Christmas if I was away in a hot country every year...
