Playlist suggestions?

I'm really into listening to music while I run but obviously longer distance races require different types of music to motivate you during different parts of the course. Anyone got any playlist suggestions for the HBF Activ City route? Thanks!

I have a mix, but tends to be music that gets ya going! I have a pretty good Oasis playlist then other more random playlists with all sorts such as Fleetwood mac, Rolling Stones, Eric clapton!

i have different playlist for gym & road running.

in the gym I have loads of rubbish 80s stuff that for some reason motivates me and i think the pace of the songs works well on treadmill and the cross trainer... footloose is a fav.

but on the road I guess i'm going at a different pace and i like the beat to match my stride. love running to the sissor sisters, mark ronson stuff and the killers sams town is a great running album.

I haven't worked out a playlist for the City to Surf particularly, but I have a few I use all the time. Some songs that help me...Bangles, Hazy Shade of Winter, Doors - Break on through, Jet - Are you Gonna Be my Girl, Boom Crash Opera - Get out of the house, or Onion Skin, Fatboy Slim - Rockafella Skank, Eminem's Lose Yourself is a good one to start with or for up hills, We Gotta Get out of this place, the Animals, Sister Madly, Crowded House. I find a lot of 70s and 80s song have a better beat for running and motivating me than some of the crap that's around today ;)

Good luck for the run!
