Most beautiful in the US

Heard this was rated one of the most beautiful ones and I have to say I agree...anyone know if this is actually officially true or not?

I have not run this race, but have spent some time in this part of California. It is truly breathtaking! I hope to run this marathon in spring of 2009! Like to balance out my marathon plans for FAST one and then have a GREAT ONE. Want this to be my GREAT one for 2009

I spoke to a guy yesterday who's run 75 marathons all round the world and said this is the most amazing one he's ever done, he wept at the start line apparently. I want to do it! Just very difficult to get to.

I've never heard of an official ranked list published by anyone. The most specific description of relative rank is what you've heard: "one of the most beautiful" from RW.

Born and raised on the North Coast and it truly is amazing. You have to see it to believe. In the infamous words of my former step daughter from Minnesota as she stood through the sunroof looking up at these very Redwoods, "WOAH AWESOME!!!"
