Reasons for running?

Honestly, I chose to run this race because it's fast-mostly flat and paved...what about everyone else?

I want to run this marthon because it looks so awesoome and beautiful. I think I am shifting from trying to qualify for Boston to running great marathons and enjoying every one. I'm on the cusp of qualifying, but I find myself NOT enjoying the marathon experience because I am so concerned about the time and the outcome.

I think I'm ready to start running races that are great experiences, and this one has always intrigued me. I hear this is a well run race, and I look forward to being surrounded by such beauty for 26.2 miles.

I'm running this one beacuase it looks so beautiful. It is in a place I have always wanted to see, so I think I'll check it out and enjoy the beauty of the surroundings while I'm running.

I ran a 4 mile race in Central Park when THE GATES were up (Christo and Jeane-Claude) That was so amazing to be in that pretty setting and be doing what I love to do! Know this is a bit farther, but hey....

It is the constant in my life. Romances have come and gone; children have been born and raised; my hair has changed color and texture numerous times. Gravity has presented itself in a manner I can finally understand. And my running has remained.

I have thought about this question a lot lately. I run to escape, I think. Something about my rhythm matching the rhythm of the sky and the earth. I can't explain it, but I feel it. It makes me feel at one with both the sky and the earth.
