Race Day Info

Hi everyone!
I just wanted to share some information about race day details in a way that you could all share info and ideas with each other....instead of through me. I'm hoping you can all get to know each other a bit through this forum. Please feel free to share any of your thoughts or ideas.

First of all, we will be setting up Cheer Zones along the course for your friends and families. We are hoping to coordinate specific areas for MMRF supporters to gather so that our group will create a real presence for the MMRF. The shirts are pretty bright orange so no one will be able to miss us. It's also great for you runners to know where we will be ahead of time so you can look forward to seeing your friends and familiy.

I've got some good ideas of where the spots should be (the Chicago course is one of the best for spectators to see their runners multiple times) , but if any of you have ideas please share them. I know some of you have run this race many times! Once we finalize the spots I will let you know both here and in our newsletter.

I am coordinating the distrubution of the Team Support Shirts. The first two are free - others can be ordered for cost - $10 each. We also have MMRF orange "BAM BAMs" -- those 2 ft. long balloons that you see at sporting events (that clap together and make noise). We will send those along with your shirts. Please contact me directly if you need any of those supplies.

To join in on this forum, you will need to create an account for realbuzz.com. You will not be contacted by them or receive any junk mail. It is just a requirement for posting that you sign up first.

Check back here soon for more details, or enter your own MMRF MCM Post!

I have questions!

1. What's the suggested attire for the "W" restaurant?

2. What is the charity village tent? Will MMRF be there? I saw it on the map and understand that some MMRF runners will be meeting there before the race. Should we stop by there after the race, too, or proceed to the "27th mile"? Would it be easier to meet our families at the charity villllage tent?

Thank you!!!

Tammy
