mile markers and time wrong mid race!!

the race course was lovely, and everything and everyone did their job well, except---the mile markers at 7 and 8 were missing or not in the right place and the people there were told but did not seem to care. so we were bascially on our own from 6-9 in terms of time and distance....ugh! please try to rectify next year.

as someone involved with the organization, we really apologize! yes, the mile seven marker was near where the mile eight marker should have been, and the mile 8 marker was on the opposite side of the road from where the seven mile one was supposed to be. very irritiating indeed!
good news is, we are changing the course next year (getting rid of the loop thru downtown pacific grove) and will be remarking and re-certifying the course. probably going to hiring a new sign person as well!

I knew there was something funky about that 16:30 6-8 split.

and does new course mean we don't have to do that uphill at mile 4?

yes, the hill at mile 4 will be gone!

The timing was all wrong. They did not register my finish time. And, yes, I ran the whole course and had their chip on my shoe.

if you didn't have your finish time posted, call the timing company (Race Central) at 909.984-5870 or email them at results@rccal.com. they will fix it, i promise!

I stubbed my tow at the finish line!

Not really, but since all these other silly complaints were posted, I thought I'd join in. :)

I'm really looking forward to running this one!
