So I had lodging way south of the what will be the new starting pt (assuming CalTrans is human)So someone says I need to get lodging in Monterey....everything will be booked and too expensive. I do have a niece who lives nearby, I think I will see if I can sleep on her couch....what about friends who have come to watch.....will they be able to get to the start/finish? They would just need to get there very early I would assume....
What is everyone who is staying south of the slide planning to do????

i'm staying in big sur. i may just start from the usual place and run to the bixby bridge and back. no finishers medal, but it should be scenic (if a bit hilly)
since highway one is still closed to the south of big sur and will be closed north of bixby bridge on sun am for the race, there should be very few cars between the two, so i'm definitely considering the out and back strategy from big sur.
