Well, you could not have asked for a more perfect day. For some it was too hot, but for me it was perfect. Comfortable temps at the start, when we got to the coast a nice cooling breeze, Absolutley gorgeous, blue/green water with white water crashing against the shore, sunny skies, with emerald green mountians!!!!
Predicted the 5:45, and hit 5:47.
Cramped up big time at mile 23 and had to calm it down. Blame it on lack of long trainig runs.
A little disappointed in the 25th celebration, but in this economy and the desire to conserve finances in order to give back to the community, it does make sense.
Hopefully they sock away a few pennies for the 50th and make it special.

Hi Grizz....SO glad you successfullt completed the "tradition" despite lack of training. I'm jealous that you can train so little and in such a "cram session" way and still make it--I doubt that I could do that without having a major physical issue or injury. Thought about you and BSIM a lot this past week...Gary asked me today if I knew how people we knew did...so thanks for the message. Did Rene (reneim) do BSIM this year? I thought she said early on that she was signed up.... How about TowsonRunner??
And, FOGGY...I am SO glad that you finally resurfaced recently...Gary & I were both worried about you...sent you an email awhile back...do you still have the same address? Sent me a note if you have time at the "trailturtle" address.
We will both be in your area in May...I a bit longer than Gary...doing one or two PCTR events and possibly Bay to Breakers since the PCTR BB event was moved from the 16th. Any chance either of you (Grizz/Foggy) plan to do that one--a very different kind of rolling party from BSIM! :) Hope to see you soon, and I am definitely thinking of coming back to BSIM next year......so it continues..... Have fun, Ann (& Gary)

Ann,
Good to hear from you!!! Yes Rene did it this year, and she is also doing the Tahoe Relays again.
I suspect Towson might have had an issue, as he was on, then disappeared. I think we all know how that goes...
My next event will be the DeCelle Tahoe relays in June. My new business has me more than occupied, plus I am still getting over my torn flexor plate issue. A side effect of the Zocor.
Would be great to have you back in 2011.
