Sounds like we have a case for the Boilermaker detectives.I also didn't get a pin as well as some of my friends who were from out of town. I told them that I would look into it and if possible would pick up the pins and mail it to them. I realize that the run was not about the pin but it is nice to have something to remember the race by.
So, where did the pins go......did someone walk off with a bucket of them or were there not enough ordered? A few years back at the Disney marathon, there were not enough medals. Detective Mickey got on the case immediately and found the cases of misplaced medals.
Perhaps we will be lucky and get our pins and turn our :( into a :D

Very strange, I finished in 110 min and there were pins for us. A friend of mine finished in 92 min and he also received a pin. Very strange.....

Very strange indeed. My grandson finished in 100 min and they told him he got the next to the last pin. My friend finished in 107 min and he was told they were all out. In previous years, I used the chip that was provided. This year, I decided to use my own chip...so, I did not have a chip to give them in return for a finishers pin. I thought that maybe this was the reason for not getting one....perhaps, too much confusion. However,I was told that there were no pins left. Other runners who had the black chip were told the same thing.
I realize the timing issue is of more importance but I feel for the 1st time runners who now don't have a chip time nor a finishers pin. I am glad that my grandson did get his pin.....what a sweetie, he even offered it to me. That pin is yours buddy...you earned it!

In today's paper it said to e-mail the race at info@boilermaker.com to make arrangements to get them the pin.
