I'm starting to think the data entry for the timing was outsourced. The results posted by Online Race Results have both my son and I with the wrong age and, therefore, in the wrong age group. I'm also hearing from several others that have experienced the same discrepancies.
In the registration confirmation on the Flying Pig site, the ages were correct and it was even printed on our bibs. Why that data was not properly migrated to timing is a mystery.

My age was wrong also. And they have my clock time down and no chip time!

I think you're right about outsourcing. I did my first 10K in about 68 minutes. They have me down for 1:30. I sent in the enquiry but have heard nothing. Hope that others with timing errors chime in so that someone will be moved to make the corrections. Thank you to all of the wonderful volunteers.
My info seems to have been corrected. I did submit a request to have it changed and received an email saying it would be updated. My 11 year old is still showing up as 24 years old in the 5K results.

The credibility of the 2009 results has been lost for me. I was also put in the wrong age division even though my age & gender were correct on the chip envelope. After making it into the right age group my time was wrong and had to be corrected. Since then there have been major adjustments to two of the top four places in my age group, one by 11 minutes and one by 7 minutes.
I wouldn't think there would be problems like this with chip timing. Were there technical problems or human mismanagement, or both?
