Prague is meant to be good - and good as it is Euro free zone, might be able to pick up a few bargains?
In the week I am good, at the weekend I'm bad.

This is a good site if you don't manage to get abroad - all the Christmas markets in the UK.

There's one that always comes to my local town, and the best thing is the beer and the sausages. Perfect place to stop if your mrs is looking at all the tat.
Sometimes I'm here, sometimes I'm not.

I've just come back from 10 days in Germany visitng Christmas markets. We went to Aachen, Heidelburg, Frankfurt and Koln. Each town had their own approach and each market was different, and there are none of the four that I wouldn't recommend. My personal favourites were Heidelburg and Koln, although that is probably because they were the towns that I enjoyed visiting the most. Koln has 9 different Christmas markets though, so if you want more market for your buck that may be a great option. It is also very easy to get there by train, it is just under 2 hours from Brussels, so you could be there inside 4 hours from central London.
Hope this helps!
