Single Act of Kindness

I don't know if this is the right place to post this but will do it here anyway.

I just wanted to say that I ran a small race last weekend and was very discouraged. (Yes it was my first organized race.)

A young guy passed me up, and as he did, he said to me, "Keep it up. You are looking good."

That one act of kindness gave me the incentive to finish.

I did not catch the guy's name or number, so I cannot thank him, but I will forever remember and emulate his act.

What a sweet thing!

I think I'll always remember your story, and I will make it a point to encourage people while we're running.
