Dumb Question

Do the teams where a uniform? Or matching shirts? Or what?

Actually that's a pretty good question. I'd say the majority of teams don't have any kind of "uniform." You can check out the photos and see. There is a large minority who will have matching t-shirts -- we did for a few years. Some teams are running clubs, so they already have matching warm-ups and shirts. There is a small minority who have "signatures" -- like each team member wears a tutu, cow suit, unicorn headbands (those poor guys on that team... come to think of it, two guys on a team with 10 women? I take that back!)

We're still trying to figure out what our "signature" should be (after 7 years of trying). Still working on it.

FYI, if you want personalized wicking shirts, I've gotten some from running banana (www.runningbanana.com). It's not real cheap (mid-$30s) compared to what you can get for cotton, but the quality is good, and I haven't found any other places who print on wicking shirts for cheap. (I'm only a customer, not affiliated with them.)

Anyone else have a good source for custom printed running (wicking) shirts?

My first year, we got shirts from this place:
http://www.customink.com/ [customink.com]
They were in the $22 dollar range if I remember correctly, and wicking- a silky-feeling shirt. The sizes were definitely a bit off, as I can wear mine as a dress (it was a small), and I'm not that tiny. But the image was really nice.

Last year we got winter beanies with an embroidered logo, which was a nice change from the hordes of shirts that we all have, and still added to the team feeling.

We're thinking about wearing superhero headgear. Gotta have a little fun. :)
