Van Decorations?

Hello- I am the team captain of the Dakota Diva's. We are a team of 12 women, coming from South Dakota. We ran Hood-To-Coast last year in Oregon and are looking forward to heading East this year.

We are curious if there are many who decorate van's in Reach the Beach. This was a pretty big part of Hood-To-Coast, but I haven't found mention of it anywhere here. Would appreciate some advice from those who have run prior.

In fact- would love advice on lodging recommendations, sight seeing must do's etc.

Yes, there are quite a few teams who decorate their vans. Some of us are pretty subtle with simple magnetic placards, others go all out with that soap paint, mascots, etc. Some teams have "signatures" like wearing tutu's, cow suits, etc.

Make yourself noticed! You won't be the only ones.

Absolutely! Do the van paint thing and we've also found removable "bumper sticker" paper (in Office Max) you can use to design anything you can print from a PC.

we didn't our first year and it is a real pain trying to find ur van in a lot filled with rental vans. we used a lot of different things. they have asked people to make sure they are appropriate for public dispay. I have lots of pics of amusing vans from the past two years I could share.
