Any Macmillan runners out there?

Just wanted to say hello and wish you (and everyone taking on this massive challenge) all the best.
I am running the marathon for Macmillan as a thank you for the care they showed to my mum when she was diagnosed with cancer in July 2005.
Training for this has been an incredible journey and all the highs and lows have been reflected on this board, it has taken over my life, which when you are 43 with a wife, two children and a job is saying something.
I will be at the Macmillan pasta party on the Saturday evening and at the expo on Friday morning probably.
The way you support each other on here is inpsirational.

Will do Rich but only if you have got the uniform on so I can recognise you.
I might be at the expo on Thursday as I am travelling down to London on Thursday with the family arriving at about 2pm, not sure if I will have time to make it over there on Thursday afternoon, if not definitely see you on Saturday.
Did you actually do your trial run in the uniform yet and did you get arrested?

I'll be at the Pasta Party too and at Expo on the Friday but travelling up from Devon so probably will be the afternoon before I get there.

Running for Team Macmillan for the same reason as everyone, they were fantastic 14 years ago when my Mum died, and again 2 years ago when my Father-in-Law died. We always take part in the MacMillan Coffee Morning at work as well. Last big run planned on Saturday - 20 miles - cannot believe how far we have all come - Clock on the website is becoming very, very scary  :!:

Linda - I agree - very very scary!!

DD - not done a run in the outfit yet - planned for easter weekend!

Looking forward to it - though hope the weather gets a bit cooler. If its as hot then as it is now I will die.

 (this is how red I will get)

Hi,

Be great to meet up and swap stories and eat pasta. I am running for my mum and other people who have died. I have got their names pn the back of my Macmillan vest for motivation. I will finish even if I have to crawl over the line.
