Can we set up a Real Buzz Tribute fund for David Rogers?

Morning,

I read on a previous thread that David Rogers, the 22 year old that died after completing the marathon, was running for a Motor Neurone disease charity.
Do you think that us realbuzzers should set up a just giving page for the charity? That way we can make a donation to his charity to show our respect for what happenened?

Charli

Kate has found the link to the just giving page which is:

Feel free to donate if you wish

I think Bigbeff has already suggested this somewhere. He was running for Motor Neurone Charity. I checked out the Justgiving site but there was no page for him. I am off today so| I dont mind phoning the charity up and telling them this is what we would like to do. I think apart from the charity benefitting, it would be a lovely thing to do for his parents, they said in the paper how proud they were of him for doing what he did.....

That would be great if it can be done, either way, I will donate to them.

That would be great of it is ok with you, their contact details are probably on that link to the charity website. I have sent Dan a pm to see if we can keep this thread at the top of the page as I am sure people would be interested in looking at it.

What if we put the message with our donation 'from a realbuzz fellow marathon runner' or something?

Just putting this to the top of the list again...

Until we get Dan onto this, thought I'd help out keeping it at the top of the page.

Sponsoring him seems like the least we can do.

BUMP......

A tragedy and so sad. It really upsets me that his page starts out the same as most of ours with his friends jokingat the start and then it changes so drastically. It could have been any one of us. Thoughts to his family and friends x

I've just heard back from Dan, he cannot keep the post at the top as the Real Buzz management said whilst they offer they condolences to the family and acknowledge the tragic event that occurred last Sunday, it is the policy of realbuzz.com to allow the forum to develop naturally. Which is fair enough

I am sure the spirit in this forum will mean it will be at the top for a fair while yet!

Thanks
