Hi Fellow First Timers,
Can anyone out the offer me some training advice? I have in the last three weeks finished treatment following a breast cancer operation in December. I am now on Tamoxifen for the next 5 years.
I have also kept running throughout all my treatment and run only a couple of miles 3 times a week and up to 8 miles on a saturday. I also ride my bike at the weekend and do about 20 - 25 miles. I know I have to step up the training and have also just completed the run London nike 10K Challenge last weekend - it took me ages - 58 minutes (I hate running in the heat/sun)!
My bones still ache after all the chemo I've had so I haven't pushed too hard recently but would welcome some careful advice/training tips if you have any?
I am hoping to run for Breakthrough Breast Cancer (if you want to sponsor me please log on to www.justgiving.com/anngould) - we'd be only too happy to take your money.
Many thanks
Ann
I will never winge about the hurdles to my training again! Sorry I haven't any useful advice but I admire you for even giving it a go! Good luck and let us know how the training goes.
You're always better than those who didn't try
