so is that it then? is 08 disappearing into the realms of history?
Anyway, hope you are all well. The suns back out again up here and I am off work for 3 weeks. Cant decide between pottering about or fixing stuff. Must try to save cash though for a possible holiday in two weeks time and a trip to the races at Haydock at the end of the month...oh bonus! It's ladies night too!...does that mean I have to dress as a lady, like the characters off Little Britain?

You know you want to
Soft & fuzzy
I'm still here, next planned race is Run To The Beat at the end of September, but to see if I can cope with marathon training, I am following a program for a pretend marathon on 15th August and so am due a 20 miler at the weekend (longest I've managed so far is 17). Not always easy to find the time for such long runs and sometimes just not sure I feel like that sort of distance - I have actually put the 'marathon' back a few times (you can do that with pretend runs). This particular plan has long runs every week (except on recovery weeks) - think actually I prefer a really long run every two weeks.
Maybe you'd look good in a dress Rosie
Spoogie37, as named by The Style Council - not the pop group but some strange woman I used to work with who wanted to put me on the Trinny and Susannah show.

Went for a run at 5:30am and also hav a fell race tonight, heh, me silly.
Is the sun out there at 5:30? I am thinking about early morning run as the air is the freshest...but don't know if the sun is out there so early?

It's quite light at that time but there isn't a bright sun shining as it hasn't risen yet. I still find it warm though.
Sun creeps up about 5.40 but definitely still warm at the moment
Nice one Sparky......knob!!
Kirsty likes to be up somewhere warm nice and early.

I've been running early too, best time of the day. Enjoying 2 weeks off & glorious weather here
Will probably be the colour & texture of an old leather handbag by next week as doing lots of outdoorsy stuff.
J xx
What counts in the end is not how many years you get in your life, but how much life you get in your years.
Mornin'!
Just checking in for the first time in a while! I ran for the first time in a week yesterday (I was at Glastonbury Wednesday-Monday, running aint feasible!) but just managed a swim this morning as I was out last night. Only managed to watch one tennis match so far, have to find some way of getting out the office tomorrow afternoon argh!
Very jealous of all you with time off! Have got next Thursday afternoon off to go zorbing then another festival in a couple of weeks time. I have so much general likfe stuff to catch up on but just no time, how does everyone else manage it?!

I have interweb at last !!! After over a month without a phoneline, we now have superfast word wide webbage!
Clairey - really jealous about Glasto, it looked fab. One day i'll get there!!

Twas good but soooo hot though! There is so little in the way of shade there is just no respite. Did you see any of the TV coverage?? If so who did you see??
Hello. Fell race was very tough last night, little bit achey today but not too bad. Doing the Manchester 10k on Sunday.
Me going to Latitude with Clairey, whoooo!
I have no idea what clothes I'll need to take.
How about your "I'm with stupid" t-shirt?
Oops, couldn't resist that one

Ive just watched the highlights on iplayer, I also saw gorillaz and it looked really crap !!! Even though ive got most of the songs on my ipod I have no idea who they are, but I thought most of best bits on iplayer were brilliant.

Oooh you're baaad!
Excuse me Roberta...
K - take lots of layers! It can get very cold at night. The soil at Latitude is FAR better with regards to drainage than Glastonbury so don't need to worry about the mud so much!!
FF - search out footage of The National, one of ours who had a great show at the weekend, Grizzly Bear were also filmed who were ace apparently Midlake too but haven't heard of it actually surfacing as yet! Gorillaz were dull dull dull so I retreated to go and watch teh Flaming Lips (me and Airhead were going to be dancers for the Lips but chickened out when we saw the outfits this time round, very tight and short orange lycra!!)
Did you get to see Prince on stage? Or Rolf Harris?
41 marathons and counting. Last time: 4.30.22 at Brighton. Next one: Bewl, although I shall be marshalling near the Tower of London on Sunday.
Still two behind Nuala...
