Hi All,
How you all doing and what are you doing? what thrilling things has everyone got lined up for Saturday night?
Nothing much is going on over the weekend for me, beer free zone at the moment and has been for a while.
No running just yet for me, foot is getting better so maybe another week, got back on the bike and I'm so not used to the hills!!!
Hey Robert, I know there's quite a few new 5 finger shoes on the market, what's the best for one for girls or are there all similar? (off and on road)
Have a good weekend folks.
a.
Well....I'll respond to you as I know what it's like talking to oneself...lol.
Quiet weekenders for me....at work earlier, came home, flaked out in warm cosy conservatory and woke up because some magpies were having some argy bargy in the garden...also because I'd dribbled all over my hand.
Planning a 17 miler tomoz coz I've been a right lazy moose this week.....can't be turning into a sloth just because I'm not running a mara this weekend !!
Have a good evening AH and anyone else out there....hellllloooooo, can anyone hear meeeeeee ??????

50 to do - will let you know when I'm there !
I think there's a bloke in Australia who didn't zela!
KSOs were my 5fingers of choice Andrew - bit more robust than the standard ones (which have less covering). There is a new model out called the Bikila I think which is supposedly designed for runners but I've not seen or tried them yet (think there might be a special girls version too). They are slightly more built up.
Watch out if you are looking for cheap ones as a load of imitations appeared on the internet recently - make sure you get them through a reliable source.

Sound thanks Robert, Helen is thinking about getting some, I'd quite fancy a pair too, curious to see what the difference will be?

She is isn't she, comes with age I suppose!
I saw that on this guys blog:

It's interesting and worth a read, he does all kinds of gear tests and also runs ultras all over the place.
Not sure if the Bikilas are available here but I don't think you can go wrong with the KSOs if you want to run in them - mine are great. Just got to find the right size!

Ha ha, just got it, when I first read it I was thinking what are you on about it's only taken me 3 hours!!!!!!!
Got a race tonight, eep! It's a local 5 mile trail race.
Good luck with the race Kirsty. Had a couple of good 6 mile runs this week, and on both occasions part of the route was along paths/roads I haven't run along before: always nice to incorporate a bit of variety! Was a bit apprehensive for a while last night - the path reached a brook and turned to follow the brook, even though the place I wanted to end up was in the opposite direction. But in fact after a few hundred yards I was able to cross the brook and then head in the right direction. A bit later the path seemed to come to a fence, but actually I then noticed a gate, opened it, crossed a railway track and soon came to a canal - by which time I was back in familiar territory.
Spoogie37, as named by The Style Council - not the pop group but some strange woman I used to work with who wanted to put me on the Trinny and Susannah show.
