Hello all.

I think its been a few months since i have been on here.  Mrs Motor was made redundant in December and my place has gone through a couple of waves of redundancy.  Luckily i have avoided them.  But being the only breadwinner now with two young mouths to feel i have really upped my game at work and attended every networking/marketing event going.

I am still running, still carrying the same old injuries, and have some new ones, have done a few races and have lots more booked up.

But apart from that nothing has changed and neither has the forums by the looks of it.  Apart from Robs name (I recognise those feet anywhere!).

Anyway, enough about me, whats new with you?

Hi Motor,

Good to hear from you! Sorry to hear about your troubles but glad you are ok & still running!

Hello. Fancy seeing you here. At the moment I am just looking forward to Kilomathon and I am grateful that my injury has gone, although my knee is still sore form when I fell.

Hey Mr !

Sorry to hear about Mrs M's work and yours.  Is your job secure ? Fingers crossed that everything will work out for the best.

Good luck with the kilomathon, it looks quite good !!

'ello all.

thanks for the 'hello's'.

You've not been forgotten, just put on the back burner.

FF - My job looks safe for the time being which is a good thing.  I'm in a fortunate position within the firm but when a lot of people are falling by the wayside it still makes you nervous.  If it was just me i would be ok, but having a few mouths to feed is a lickle stressful.

I am doing the MK half this weekend, so hopefully catch up with RB and FF?  I think Victoria London was doing it but she may have dropped out!??

oh and whats better ..... a marathon or kilomathon.......... No fight necessaryUndecided

Welcome back Motor - what is this Kilomathon you and Kirsty speak of ?? Foot in mouth

Posted 04.03.10, 10:54am

Don't worry it's nothing rude, heh. It's a 16.3 mile (or 26.2 km) race from Nottingham to Derby, 'tis on the 14th March.

It didn't actually cross my mind that it might be rude.....but thinking about who was doing it maybe it should've !

I just thought it might be some crazy swim, bike, crawl, run thing.....don't forget your mum Kirsty - it's Mothers day then...I am just speaking up for the mums out there...actually you already know this as you asked for suggestions for a gift....just ignore me.

Talikng of mums, has anyone seen the article in this months Runners World re a mum who couldn't run for a while due to an injury ??  That's would soooo be me.  Kiss

Sorry, I threw the magazine out after reading the utter load of bollocks they wrote about barefoot running......

Ah yeah, just my dirty mind presuming you may have thought it rude, ha.

Luckily nothing that crazy, although apparently it's not as flat as I was hoping. Yeah I asked my mum whether she minded that it was on Mothers day, when I signed up. So all is okay :)

Won`t be renewing that subscription then Joe!!

Actually, I had already cancelled it, too many shoes! This month is the last copy. It did have a really nice breakfast smoothie recipe that I've had every day this week though!

I keep buying it, I don't know why. It's a barmy price - I remember when all magazines were about 95p. I usually find something of interest in it each month though.

Subscribe, MUCH cheaper way of doing it.  It also means you don't have to go through the effort of actually going into a shop and buying it, it just arrived in my post box!

Posted 04.03.10, 4:26pm

Yeah, but then I'd have to buy it every month!
