Alwighty....need some technical-ish help.....
Elevation charts, how accurate are they.....(or are they just a load of inaccurate crap info)
11 miler at the weekend:
http://gb.mapometer.com/en/running/route_404252.html (the chart button is on the bottonm left of the page)
two oceans half (crapping it as Ive seen the pictures, hills hills hills!)

Would I be right in thinking, in terms of horrid hills, home seems to have longers inclines than sharp ones.... ??
Sorry to be a muppet.....

I didn't do geography but the second one looks much steeper that your home run.

Hard to tell 'cos in one you have feet and miles and the other shows metres and kilometres. I think the overall ascent for two oceans is around 175m and for home it's 787 feet, roughly 260m, distance is greater for the two oceans and you have very little descent where as at home your descent is actually slightly greater than you ascent ie your ups and downs even themselves out roughly. I think abroad looks tougher but it's probably just the graph, if they stretched it out it wouldn't look nearly so bad. It's probably the same as home, you'll be fine anyway, you can do hills!

Thanks RB ! I did change it and nearly had a heart attack !!!!
There's steeper hills a bit further on at home, so when I increase my miles, I'll purposly go the extra hilly way (yuk) to give me a good go at them. You literally look down on many many hills....stupid rolling countryside I think its called!!!
