I ran for Children with Leukaemia and they gave me no minimum amount to raise.
Col- do I sense you're coming round to the idea of FLM09 or this just idle curiosity??

I sense the feeling of withdrawl symptoms!?
St John Ambulance want £1350 for the FLM. Think you will find the average is about £1500. Did Marie Curie last year and they wanted £2000

Leukaemia Care wanted £1250 this year (not sure about 2009). Great runner support before and after race and plenty of cheering stations. Aside of the obvious great cause, I'd recommend running for them. xx

Mine for Dogs Trust was £1000 although you had to pay £235 up front to cover the cost of the place to them (this was included in the £1000 rather than on top)
Personally, I think you should choose your charity on the basis of what is important to you. It is much harder to raise £500 for something you couldn't give a monkeys about than it is to raise £2000 for something that means alot to you. :)

I totally agree! If I hadn't been running for charity which was close to my heart, I'm sure I wouldn't have put all the training in and I know I would have give up at mile 22!
