Who's done the Florence marathon

Anyone here done the Florence marathon? and if so what was the whole thing like? am seriously considering it.

Haven't done the marathon there, but been to florence. I would imagine its VERY hot, and the terrain there isn't great. Lots of uneven roads and pavements, mut be tough on the joints. Lovely place but i reckon would make a tough marathon x

Thanks for the info, haven't been there myself but imagine it would be very picturesque and a great place for a race/holiday, not sure about the uneven surfaces though, I agree it could be pretty tough on the joints?

 Are you in for the LM this time and if so how's your training going?

Hiya! Yes it is very picturesque, lots to see, great place, especially if you're into art. yes i am in LM this year, training is going ok, but i still find it very hard. have an 18 miler scheduled for next week and i'm dreading it tbh!

Well done with getting your place and good luck with your training, you'll be fine with your long run next week, nice and steady does it, you'll have such a great day on the 25th, Edinburgh marathon for me which I'm looking forward to.
