Shake Weight

Has anyone ever tried the shake weight? I've seen them on offer in a few super markets recently and wondered if they were worth trying?

I've never heard of them, what are they? How are they different from other weights?

It's meant to be a quick way to tone your arms, and you only have to use it for a few minutes a day. I like the idea of it, but not sure if it'd actually work...

Gimmick!

Shake a sauce bottle for afew minutes a day will it tone your arms? Weighs about the same as them shake weights.

I bought one of these, but it was broke by the time it arrived at mine. Glad I didn't opt to get  a replacement!

Those gif things are very funny.

Most quick fitness things are a complete con. Excuse/forgive me for what i'm about to type:

If women are encouraged to work out with weights and sometimes bottles of water/tins of beans then why do the usual repetitions work and not the shake weight?

I think the issue lies with the suggestion that shaking rather than lifting the weight is better for muscle growth / toning - some people do think shake weights are good though

I bet someone invented it as a joke and is now dying laughing watching all these people using it and looking like idiots.

It's very likely - very glad mine broke before it arrived now ha!
